Summer cooking can be so tricky! It’s so tempting just to order something in so you don’t heat up the house. Thankfully, most people in my family will eat salads, so I try to fix up a few different kids (a cold pasta with lots of veggies, cheese and a sun dried tomato dressing; a green salad; a tuna salad for sandwiches) that can be just taken out and dished up as the mood strikes. Saves me a lot of cash, lol!

I took an American Sign Language class at the local community college a couple of years back. ASL is such a beautiful thing to watch! I had the greatest professor, who had actually done a lot of musical translations for concerts and musical theater. Watching him translate songs was like a work of art.

To pass the class, we had to translate a song. I did Love Song by The Cure, lol! Geez, I felt so clumsy doing it! I’d never thought of doing ASL for a ritual, but I will definitely have to try it now!
